Programme Overview

The IACD’s Cyber Defence Associate Certificate program is an accelerated cyber security training program designed to successfully prepare people for enterprise level jobs in cyber security, a highly in-demand and lucrative career path. The CDAC course has one clearly defined goal – to provide individuals with a solid foundation that will prepare them through hands-on training, to be ready to begin a career in cyber security.

The Cyber Defence Certificate offers practical training exercises in a virtual machine environment, allowing delegates to gain life-like experience in a controlled learning context.

How will you benefit?

On this program, you will:
• Understand the security structures and behaviours that can enable or protect from cyber crime
• Learn effective techniques to extract intelligence from the cyber environment
• Develop confidence when faced with a cyber intrusion
• Improve your ability to respond effectively to a wider range of cyber events
• Gain the knowledge to ask the right questions regarding cyber incidents that you may encounter daily, and how to find the answers.

Who should attend?

This program is ideal for graduates with a foundational IT knowledge, working professionals looking to future proof their career. This program is designed to equip individuals with hands-on experience so they are ready to enter an organisation as a cyber defence analyst.  Eg. SOC analyst, Business Cyber Support etc. It is a great springboard into a growing number of specialist fields in the Cyber Defence Industry.  Please note we will consider applicants who do not have prior IT knowledge that display a high intellect and passion towards a career in cyber security.

How it works

The training is delivered through a Hybrid VILT (virtual instructor-led training) methodology. Hybrid VILT learning is a blend of self-paced and online training that incorporates virtual laboratories. Most of the theoretical material is covered in selfstudy, while practical laboratory environments are recreated using virtual instructor-led training (VILT). It provides delegates who have internet availability with the opportunity to study the Cyber Defence Certificate and obtain international certification from remote locations.

Our unique Hybrid VILT learning is ideal for any delegate wanting to obtain an internationally recognised Cyber qualification but who is unable to come through to a campus but requires facilitator-led training.
